Bavaria: Action Whitewater Rafting Adventure - Starting at Outdoor Center Baumgarten

Bavaria: Action Whitewater Rafting Adventure

3.Bavaria: Action Whitewater Rafting Adventure

★★★★★★★★★★4.7 · 56 reviews · 4 hours · from $87

Meet your guide at Outdoor Center Baumgarten, suit up with safety gear and neoprene socks, then ride by bus to the river near Lofer. After a clear safety talk, paddle as a team through Bavarian and Austrian scenery. River conditions shape the action, and an optional 4-meter jump into a natural pool adds a bold finish.

“It was a really enjoyable experience. The team kept participants engaged from start to finish, which I found very fair and well done. The rafting itself naturally depends on the river conditions, but even on a relatively calm day like ours, the guide managed to create fun and exciting moments, which we greatly appreciated. The only aspect that I think could be improved is the cleaning of the neoprene suits. From what I observed, dipping 30–40 suits briefly into two buckets of water didn’t seem very hygienic. I hope this part of the process will be enhanced in the future.”

“This was one of the most memorable experiences I’ve ever had. I went with my 18yo daughter but their were 15 of us in the group. The instructors spoke brilliant English and explained everything in both English and German. Everyone was so friendly. The hardest part was walking up the path to the start of the canyoning in a wetsuit. It’s about a 20min walk and I’m not the fittest. Some of the jumps/drops in to rock pools required some internal Pep talks but that was also part of the fun challenge. Will definitely do it again.”
